Dr. Sewell began his medical journey in 1991 when he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy. While attending medical school, he worked as a relief pharmacist in the Tri-City areas. In 1995, he received his Doctor of Medicine degree from ETSU James H. Quillen College of Medicine. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at The University of Tennessee.

At Sewell Family Practice, patient health and safety come first. Our office was thoughtfully designed by Dr. Sewell to include separate waiting rooms for sick and well patients—an approach established well before the pandemic and one that continues to provide added comfort and protection for our patients today and into the future.
We also offer convenient, comprehensive care with digital X-ray services, a fully equipped onsite laboratory, and annual wellness visits with routine quality measure evaluations, all under one roof.
