Dr. Sewell began his medical journey in 1991 when he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy. While attending medical school, he worked as a relief pharmacist in the Tri-City areas. In 1995, he received his Doctor of Medicine degree from ETSU James H. Quillen College of Medicine. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at The University of Tennessee.

Sewell Family Practice has separate waiting rooms for sick and well patients. When designing the office, Dr. Sewell prioritized the health and safety of his patients. Although the practice has always maintained two waiting rooms for sick and healthy patients pre-pandemic, this arrangement offers additional comfort for those seeking care during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
Our facility also includes digital X-ray machines, a fully functioning onsite lab, and conducts annual wellness and quality measure checks.
